Itinerary
DAY 1
Afternoon – Head to Mary & Cliff Soper Natural Area located east of Blackfalds. This natural area has several different trails perfect for all ages and abilities. Wait to enjoy the sunset before heading to the City of Lacombe
Evening – Enjoy a night at the Hatchet,
where you can spend time with friends and family honing your axe throwing skills, making sure to book a night stay at the Best Western Plus Lacombe Inn & Suites.
DAY 2
Morning – Wake up with a breakfast from Toller’s Bistro made from fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets you’ll be ready to face the day. Pack up and head west on Route 12 to get to Gull Lake covered with ice perfect for ice fishing. Rent an ice fishing hut from Adventure Ice Fishing and try your luck.
Afternoon – Head back to the City of Lacombe to get some lunch at Leto’s Steakhouse & Bar, a locally owned
restaurant where you will find delicious Greek food. After enjoying lunch, walk around Lacombe’s charming downtown while your family skates the ice pathways made at Cranna Lake.
Evening – As the sun comes down enjoy the magic environment of the holiday lights strung at the Lacombe Memorial Centre. Moe’s Pizza Co. is only two blocks east where you can grab a gourmet pizza to keep you in the holiday mood.
DAY 3
Morning – Get ready to snowboard and ski all morning! Wake up early and have breakfast at the hotel to take advantage of
the sunlight. Before heading to Medicine Lodge Ski Hill make sure to confirm the hill is open as the hill relies on natural snow and daily weather conditions.
Afternoon – When your done skiing or snowboarding drive 10 minutes east to Bentley’s downtown to Monkey Top Saloon, a favorite local pub with best enjoyed with close friends. Spend your afternoon exploring and shopping the local boutique shops on Bentley’s main street.
Evening – Before you head home stop at the Drop Coffee shop and grab a hot beverage to keep you warm all the way home.
