Landmarks | Points of Interest
Town & County Museum – Alberta’s 5th largest Pioneer Village! Stettler Town and County Museum is an historic village with a great selection of historical artifacts and buildings telling the story of Stettler’s history.
West Stettler Park – Home of the infamous “Mount Stettler,” West Stettler is located just behind Stettler’s Town and County Museum. With fishing, walking paths, the Rotary Spray Park, soccer fields and entertainment all summer long, West Stettler is the heart of Stettler’s outdoor entertainment.
Stettler Recreation Centre – With two ice rinks, a swimming pool, the Stettler Public Library, the Hub Senior Centre, a fitness centre and the Centre Ice Concession, the Stettler Recreation Centre is nothing short of a fun filled day of activities. From cheering on our Stettler Imperials hockey team in the winter season to enjoying our annual Trade Show in the spring, there is always something fun happening at the Recreation Centre.
Activities
Downtown Historical Walking Tour – Stettler takes great pride in Main Street’s vibrancy. On Main Street you will discover man locally owned businesses at historic sites. And make sure to watch for opportunities to take part in Stettler’s local Ghost tours!
Alberta Prairie Steam Tours – Based in Stettler AB, Alberta Prairie Railway offers exciting one-day adventures on a vintage passenger train from the 1920s. Be sure to watch out for the colder weather, as Stettler is a stop for the Polar Express’ journey to the North Pole! Directly behind the Alberta Prairie Steam Tours, stands Stettler’s P&H Elevator, who offers tours of the prairie’s history.

Prairie Junction RV Resort – Stettler’s newest campground inside town limits – Open year around. Just a short drive from Stettler Historic Main Street, Prairie Junction RV Resort offers cabins rentals, full-service sites, group camping rentals and wedding rentals. You can even board the Alberta Prairie Railway Train from the Prairie Junction Boardwalk.
Lions Campground – Located directly across from West Stettler Park and just a short walk from ball diamonds, Stettler’s skatepark and the Stettler Recreation Centre. Stettler’s Lions campground offers full-service, partial service and tent sites. This campground offers free showers, free Wi-Fi, and washroom facilities.
Canalta Hotel – One of Stettler’s most popular hotels, offers all the amenities to make the most of your stay, including pet friendly rooms and their 7-star cleaning program.
